Please call for availablibity before ordering. Traditional black ''Dungy'' lug (known up north as runnydowns or slappers). This lugworm gutted and wrapped in newspaper. These will keep alive for several days in the fridge and are a top bait for beach casting being quite tough. Keep them a bit longer until they get ''sticky'' and they are a favourite for flatfish. These are usually in stock but we can run out when tides are short and demand is high. Consists of a ''reverse pennel'' with the small hook (size 2 Aberdeen) on the bottom and a large strong hook (4/0 or 6/0 available) on the top. Bait the lower small hook only with small worm, cast out and let the small hook catch a small fish (pin whiting and pout are ideal) and leave it out (do not reel in when you have a small bite!) for a big cod or bass to take. The big hook then is in effect fishing like a king size hair rig and hooks the cod or bass. This rig is not intended for casting live bait. Do not leave your rod unattended - bites can be savage!

Best selling parallel shockleader. Ultra low stretch tapered fluorescent nylon shock leaders with a super slick surface finish, which can be guaranteed to improve distance casting.
